Columbus, KS – The Kansas Chapter of the American Concrete Institute announced that our Crossland PreFab team’s work on the Pittsburg Middle School project had earned the company first place in the Low Rise Buildings category. Crossland PreFab received the recognition during the Chapter’s award banquet on February 12th, 2020, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Manhattan, Kansas.
The purpose of this competition is to recognize and encourage concrete excellence in concrete design and construction within the State of Kansas, and we are proud to take home first place in the Low Rise Buildings category.
“The Pittsburg Middle School was a challenging project that really drew on our carpentry team to pull through for us. They had to create U-Shaped pieces that required extensive bracing and falsework to create a void in the precast piece. Overall it was a fun project that came out as a win for the Pittsburg School district, Crossland Construction, and Crossland Prefab,” said Rob Newsom, General Manager of Crossland PreFab.
