Backed by our field-proven capabilities, we partner with owners and engineers to deliver complex infrastructure projects with care, clarity, and accountability.
Crossland Heavy Contractors first put roots in Northwest Arkansas in 1998 with the Brush Creek Lift Station in Springdale — a project that planted the seed for a lasting regional presence. The milestone that truly established CHC in the region came in 2009 with the completion of the Joe M. Steele Water Treatment Plant in Lowell for the Beaver Water District. At $26.2 million, it was the largest project in the company’s history at the time, and the team delivered — expanding the plant from 10 MGD to 40 MGD and cementing CHC’s standing as a trusted contractor in Arkansas.
That momentum has only grown. In May 2026, CHC broke ground on the Starr Water Treatment Plant — also for the Beaver Water District — a $303 million project that now stands as the largest in the company’s history. From a single lift station to a landmark treatment plant, nearly three decades of work in Arkansas reflects the trust our clients have placed in us and our commitment to seeing it through.
