The renovation centered on repurposing the existing library space and transforming a former transactional area used for inspections and administrative services into a modern, accessible library on the ground floor. This strategic relocation improved public access and created a more welcoming environment for residents seeking library services.

The first and second floors underwent complete interior remodeling, requiring careful coordination to maintain city operations during construction. The project team implemented a phased approach, allowing staff to relocate to renovated sections while work continued in other areas. This methodology ensured continuity of public services throughout the construction period.

Beyond the library transformation, the renovation included comprehensive lighting upgrades throughout both floors and the lobby area. New access control systems were installed to enhance security and operational efficiency. The exterior work focused on creating improved accessibility, including a new ADA-compliant exit and entrance system for the library.

The project showcased adaptive reuse principles, breathing new life into existing civic infrastructure while meeting contemporary accessibility standards.
