Crossland Construction recently completed the new Fowler Chevrolet dealership in Broomfield, Colorado, transforming a 5.33-acre site into a state-of-the-art automotive retail and service center. This design-build project showcases our ability to coordinate complex requirements while meeting stringent brand standards.

The 60,068 SF facility features a stunning showroom with high ceilings, specialized customer areas, and a comprehensive service department equipped with vehicle lifts and alignment stations. The building’s exterior makes a bold statement with a combination of ACM panels, EIFS, and split-face CMU fascia, highlighted by two large freestanding ACM entry towers that create an impressive approach for customers.

As the design-build partner, Crossland was involved from the conceptual planning stage, hiring and coordinating all designers while managing the entire approval and permitting process. Our team worked closely with General Motors to ensure all brand specifications were met while solving technical challenges like ceiling height coordination for HVAC and sprinkler systems.

A standout feature of the showroom is the dedicated electric vehicle display area, complete with a distinctive faux plant wall featuring the Chevrolet logo and EV charging stations. The service department was carefully designed to accommodate specialized automotive equipment, with our team coordinating between the owner’s vendors and building systems to ensure seamless installation.

The $23.1 million project was completed on time and within budget over a 15-month construction period. The successful completion of Phase 1 (new building, parking, and landscaping) has allowed the dealership to open to the public, with Phase 2 now underway to demolish the old facility and create additional parking and landscaping.
