Flora Farms Hollister
Building to Meet Specialized Needs
Hollister, MO
In the growing medical cannabis industry, facility requirements demand precision, compliance, and thoughtful design. When Flora Farms needed a retail location in Hollister, Missouri, they partnered with Crossland for a comprehensive Design-Build approach that would meet both state regulations and their specialized business needs.
The 4,518 SF retail facility showcases an exterior blend of EIFS and composite wood siding that creates a distinctive yet professional appearance. Inside, the clean gypsum paint finish throughout provides a neutral backdrop that puts the focus on products and customer experience.
Despite breaking ground in late November 2023 and working entirely through challenging winter months, our team maintained an ambitious schedule, delivering the completed facility by April 2024 – a remarkably efficient six-month timeline. This swift execution allowed the client to begin operations without delay.
The project demonstrates Crossland’s ability to deliver specialized retail environments on accelerated timelines. Our team’s value engineering contributions included modifying the site’s grading plan to eliminate costly concrete retaining walls, representing significant savings for the owner.
Our self-perform finish carpentry work ensured quality control for these critical visual elements, while the development of a comprehensive owner finish matrix proved so successful it became the standard for additional Flora projects.
