Crossand builds hotel and parking garage in the heart of KC

Crossland Construction was awarded the Courtyard & Residence Inns contract in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. This 10 story facility is located on a 1.2 acre lot and has 261 guest rooms combined. The main level of the combined guest accommodations has two ballroom spaces that can be divided with a folding partition, a bar and lounge area, a full kitchen, and a Bistro. A pool and fitness area makes up the partial lower level. Tenant space will be available on the first level. The building consists of a post-tensioned concrete superstructure with metal framing, exterior insulation finishing system, and brick envelope. Adjacent to the hotel is a five story cast-in-place parking garage. The garage houses both a generator and transformer, two electric traction elevators, and space for long term bicycle storage.
