Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD Renovations
Turning a Multi-Site Challenge into a District-Wide Success
Carrollton, TX
When Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD needed comprehensive renovations across five of their educational facilities, they turned to Crossland to manage a complex, multi-site project that would eventually grow from an initial scope into a $13 million transformation. What began as a targeted renovation evolved into an extensive campus improvement initiative spanning 950,000 SF of educational space.
The project presented unique logistical challenges that required careful coordination and strategic planning. Working across multiple active school campuses simultaneously meant every aspect of construction had to be meticulously scheduled around the academic calendar and daily operations. The renovation work encompassed a diverse range of improvements, from critical infrastructure upgrades including HVAC rooftop units and commercial kitchen equipment replacements to comprehensive classroom and library renovations that would directly impact the learning environment.
Operating within the constraints of active educational facilities demanded exceptional attention to security protocols and campus safety procedures. Every worker required proper badging and clearance, while construction activities needed to minimize disruption to ongoing educational activities. The project team established comprehensive safety measures and communication protocols to ensure seamless integration with daily school operations.
The project’s successful completion demonstrated effective project management and team collaboration. Meeting the guaranteed maximum price while delivering comprehensive renovations across multiple sites required exceptional coordination and commitment from all team members, including weekend work schedules that ensured timely project completion.
