Block 34
An Outdoor Musical Oasis in Stillwater
Stillwater, OK
In the heart of Stillwater, Oklahoma, a unique outdoor music park has transformed the community landscape. Block 34, affectionately known as “Dancing Turtle,” stands as a testament to thoughtful design and community-focused development.
Spanning 4 acres, this $12.7 million project offers Stillwater residents a distinctive gathering space centered around music and outdoor enjoyment. The park features striking architectural elements, including an eye-catching building design, an inviting water fountain, and a musical playground that encourages interaction and creativity.
The project’s distinctive landscape incorporates carefully selected stones, including specialty Hackett Stone, alongside detailed woodwork that adds warmth and character to the space. These natural elements blend harmoniously with the overall design, creating a visually appealing environment that serves as both a performance venue and community sanctuary.
Construction began in October 2023 and was completed in July 2025, with Crossland successfully navigating challenges while maintaining the project vision. The team worked closely with the City of Stillwater, design partners, and community donors to ensure all stakeholders’ expectations were met. This collaboration was crucial, particularly when addressing technical challenges like electrical system integration.
The project’s completion was celebrated with a grand opening that showcased sustainability efforts incorporated throughout the design. Today, Dancing Turtle stands as one of Stillwater’s premier community assets, offering residents and visitors a unique outdoor experience centered around music, art, and togetherness.
