The healthcare sector demands parking solutions that can handle high volumes while maintaining safety and efficiency. In Frisco, Texas, we delivered exactly that with the BSW MOB Parking Garage – a 650-space, five-story structure that serves the busy medical district at PGA Parkway and Dallas Parkway.
This wasn’t just another parking structure. We used post-tension construction methods to build a durable, long-lasting facility that can handle the constant traffic flow of a medical complex. Post-tension construction creates stronger, more resilient concrete structures by using tensioned cables that compress the concrete – perfect for a parking garage that needs to support vehicles day in and day out.
Working as part of a joint venture partnership required intensive coordination and communication. We maintained constant contact between our field and office teams, holding regular weekly meetings with both internal staff and the ownership group. This collaborative approach kept everyone informed and aligned throughout the build process.
Our self-performed concrete work gave us direct control over one of the most critical aspects of the structure. We handled the site concrete ourselves, which meant we could maintain our quality standards and keep the project moving on schedule without relying on external subcontractors for this foundational work.
The project presented unique logistical challenges. Despite these complexities, our team delivered the parking garage as part of a combined project that finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
The structure connects seamlessly with the adjacent medical office building and includes a skybridge connection to the existing hospital next door, creating an integrated campus that makes it easy for patients and staff to move between facilities.
