Elevating Travel: Walmart Aviation Phase 1 Lobby Renovation
Rogers, AR
When Walmart set out to refresh the executive airport in Rogers, Arkansas, the project called for more than cosmetic updates, it required a seamless transformation of an active aviation hub. Over the course of five months, our team delivered a modernized lobby that balanced functionality with a welcoming design for travelers.
Inside, warm wood accents and a bold blue palette now define the passenger experience, while a custom thin-gauge metal feature adds a striking and unique detail to the reception desk. Outside, a corten steel fence offers both security and architectural character, giving the facility a distinctive edge.
Maintaining operations during construction was a challenge. To keep passengers comfortable, we provided temporary office and restroom trailers, essentially building a second “pop-up” lobby so travel could continue uninterrupted. Our crews also relied on hydro excavation for fence footings, ensuring that underground utilities were preserved without delay, a technique we can replicate on future projects.
Though the footprint was modest at 900 SF, the scope was complex. Balancing client requests, phasing construction to limit disruptions, and delivering a polished final product required the same level of coordination and problem-solving found on larger builds. The end result, a lobby that delivers a modern, functional, and welcoming environment that reflects the company’s standard of excellence.
