A new state-of-the-art office building for Unit Corporation
Tulsa, OK
When Unit Corporation, an oil and natural gas company, decided to relocate their Tulsa, Oklahoma headquarters to a new, state-of-the-art facility, Crossland was on the short list for the project. Bids came in for review, and, as low bidder, Crossland was awarded the $47+ million contract. Located on the edge of Highway 75, the premier facility sits on a landscaped 30 acre site. The building is six stories high, with a separate four story, 700-stall parking garage. No stone was left unturned in the structure’s design. Accounting for Oklahoma’s often unpredictable and dangerous spring and summer weather conditions, the Owner wanted to create a structurally sound, easily accessed storm shelter. Therefore, an underground, concrete tunnel was constructed to reach from the office building to the parking garage, where a storm shelter waits, capable of withstanding the total collapse of the above-ground parking structure and its contents.
