The Visionaries
Elevating Workspace and Lifestyle in Pinnacle Hills
Rogers, AR
In Rogers, Arkansas, Crossland brought to life a four-story mixed-use development that stands as more than just another office building – it’s a tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit that built Northwest Arkansas. The Visionary, a 302,000 SF structure, combines practical workspace with innovative amenities and artistic vision.
This project presented unique construction challenges that required creative solutions. Built into a hillside, we used all cast-in-place concrete construction rather than our typical steel structure approach. The site’s topography demanded soil nail wall systems to properly integrate the building into the natural slope, creating two levels of underground parking while maximizing the footprint.
The building’s trapezoidal shape, following the angled roadway, required us to design and fabricate custom column forms. Instead of standard rectangular columns, we created trapezoidal forms that complement the building’s geometry. These custom forms were reused throughout construction, demonstrating how thoughtful planning can turn design challenges into efficient solutions.
Our teams self-performed the concrete, steel, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry work, giving us direct control over quality and scheduling. Our concrete crews handled the specialized formwork and pours necessary for the parking garage structure and the building’s distinctive shape. This hands-on approach proved crucial when coordinating the post-tensioned concrete systems and backup rebar requirements.
The exterior features color-changing ACM panels that shift appearance throughout the day as sunlight hits at different angles, creating a dynamic visual element that engages both tenants and the broader community. Inside, commissioned artwork celebrates Arkansas business visionaries, including the Hunt, Walton, Tyson and Simmons families. We coordinated specialized lighting and wall cutouts to properly showcase these artistic installations.
The rooftop terrace sets this project apart from typical office developments. The fourth floor opens to outdoor amenities including covered patios, artificial turf areas with shuffleboard courts, and a dedicated dog park. A shared fitness center with locker rooms and towel service, plus a catering kitchen and event space for 200 people, transforms the building into a complete workplace community.
Ground-floor retail and restaurant spaces create street-level activity, while the upper floors provide Class A office space. Tesla charging stations in the parking garage reflect forward-thinking sustainability planning.
We completed this $76.5 million project on schedule over 24 months, meeting our April 2026 completion target. The coordination required between architectural, structural, and MEP systems, particularly for rooftop equipment placement, demanded constant communication and proactive problem-solving throughout construction.
