Sam’s Club Home Office Lobby Reno
Sam’s Club puts team at the heart of renovation
The Covid-19 pandemic seemingly changed everything about work.
How we work. Where we work. When we work.
For companies to be successful and attractive to current and prospective employees, it’s all about flexibility and safety. Sam’s Club understood and embraced this when they planned the renovation of the lobby space at their headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The Sam’s Club lobby serves a variety of purposes at the home office. It’s a pre-security guest check area for guests, it features Sam’s merchandise for sale, and there is a coffee bar cafe.
The $2.7 million renovation project was completed in early September 2021, just weeks before the company was set to bring back many of their employees who had been working from home. When they returned, they entered a fresh, beautiful space with their safety and desires at its core.
The renewed space features Tru PC concrete floors with a polished concrete finish. Custom millwork features walnut wood paneling, solid surface counters, and maple veneer. Security desks were replaced, and the coffee bar features built-in seating that serve as flexible work spaces.
The space features a lot of blue, completely on-brand for Sam’s Club. Blue-tinted glass along the walls and stairs complement the Sam’s pantone blue. Speaking of the brand, wood slating along the walls highlight the company’s mission statement and mottos.
Crossland had the unique opportunity to hand-select subcontractors for the project, and that ensured the right team was on the job. Despite supply chain challenges brought on by the pandemic, the team finished the project in plenty of time for Sam’s employees to return to the office.
