Okemah WTP
Okemah, OK
For the Okemah Utility Authority, our team delivered a major water treatment facility expansion, including backwash holding basins, a floating lake intake structure, a 1.2-million-gallon ground storage tank, and a 128- by 46-foot process, chemical, and administration building, along with extensive yard and process piping. The main structure alone called for 40 separate wall pours at varying heights, multiple slab elevations, and complex soffit work across the full floor plan, while the backwash basins brought their own finishing challenge with a steep 1.5:1 slope.
Clear, early communication between our team, the engineer, and trade partners turned problem-solving into a group effort throughout the project, keeping the work on track and the results strong. Gravity filters and a super pulsating clarifier were brought online as part of the new system, giving Okemah a significantly upgraded treatment process.
The relationship with both the City and Wall Engineering remained strong from start to finish, and Okemah is thoroughly pleased with the outcome.
