Working efficiently to open the community's premier baseball park 45 days early

Fayetteville, AR

The City of Fayetteville hired Crossland Heavy Contractors to construct four new baseball fields, adding onto their bustling Kessler Mountain Regional Park. Our scope included excavating, grading, and landscaping four turf fields, installing new batting cage facilities, fencing, field lighting, installing the scoreboards, pouring concrete sidewalks, installing new water, sewer, and drainage utilities, constructing new concession stand and restroom facilities, and installing bleachers with rain covers and dugouts at each field. During construction, parking issues at the existing fields arose, and the City asked CHC to price a new asphalt parking lot to combat their current issues with parking and to prepare for the additional cars of the patrons who would be using the new fields. The City also asked CHC to repair a slope issue that was impacting their current fields. We were able to complete the project including both of these change orders, while battling adverse weather conditions, 45 days ahead of schedule, giving the community access to four pristine new fields just in time for the fall baseball season.
