Jay Public Schools recently completed a renovation of its band and choir facilities, transforming aging spaces into modern, welcoming environments for student musicians. The $354,000 project covered more than 3,400 SF and included both interior and exterior upgrades.

Exterior work involved installing new windows to improve natural light and energy efficiency. Inside, the renovation featured updated drywall, carpet, LVT flooring, custom vinyl graphics, and fresh paint throughout the music spaces.

The project proceeded smoothly overall, with the only major challenge being the discovery of asbestos in existing floor tiles. The team acted quickly, helping the school connect with the right specialists to manage abatement safely and without delay.

These updated facilities provide a vibrant, inspiring environment that supports the artistic development of Jay students and enhances their overall educational experience.
