Hollister Spring 24 Bond Issue
Comprehensive Campus Improvements for Hollister Schools
Hollister, MO
Crossland successfully completed a multi-faceted improvement project for Hollister Schools, transforming multiple campus facilities through both extensive renovations and new construction. The project, stemming from the Spring 2024 Bond Issue, encompassed remodeling 23,500 SF of existing spaces and constructing 47,435 SF of new facilities, all while maintaining an active school environment.
The $8.6 million project included significant renovations to Middle and High School hallways and bathrooms, as well as Elementary Gymnasium finishes. Simultaneously, our team constructed three new buildings: a 1,765 SF Agricultural Building featuring metal roof and wall panels, a 5,670 SF Early Education Cafeteria with brick and stone masonry exterior, and a 40,000 SF Athletic Facility constructed with pre-engineered metal building systems.
Interior improvements featured new flooring throughout remodeled spaces, epoxy flooring in bathrooms, new lockers, fresh paint, acoustical ceilings, and updated light fixtures. The Early Education Cafeteria showcases open-structure masonry block, LVT flooring, and acoustical panels, while the Athletic Facility includes synthetic turf and sealed concrete flooring.
Despite facing significant challenges, including a partial structural collapse during the erection of the pre-engineered metal building, the Crossland team acted swiftly to document the failure, coordinate replacement materials, and repair damaged concrete. Our prompt action ensured the steel erector expedited the re-erection process, allowing us to complete the project on time and within budget.
