Crossland Constuction Columbus Office Addition
Expanding the Crossland Corporate Campus: Columbus Office Addition Brings Modern Workspace and Functionality
Columbus, KS
Growth doesn’t always mean you have to start from scratch. Sometimes it means building onto what already works and making it better.
At the Crossland Corporate Campus in Columbus, this office addition was designed to do exactly that. The new two-story expansion, that now houses Crossland’s National Accounts and Midwest divisions, ties directly into the existing building, adding nearly 10,000 square feet of updated workspace while keeping the campus cohesive and functional.
Unlike the original structure, this addition introduces a more modern interior approach. Natural light plays a bigger role, with extensive glazing and glass door systems creating a more open, connected environment. It’s a noticeable shift and one that reflects how workspaces are evolving and how Crossland continues to adapt alongside it.
Behind the scenes, the project also marked a first for the facility: the integration of gas HVAC units in place of the all-electric systems used previously. It’s a practical change that improves performance and flexibility moving forward.
Because this was an internal project, the expectations were higher. The team wasn’t just building for a client; they were building for themselves. That showed in the execution, from the seamless exterior match to the careful coordination required to tie the new structure into the existing roof system, a detail that required precision and persistence to get right.
The project team stayed aligned and delivered a space that’s now actively being used and enjoyed by the people it was built for.
This project isn’t about size or scale. It’s about intent, creating a better environment, improving functionality, and continuing to invest in the place where the work happens every day.
