Cross Church Pinnacle Hills Expansion: Elevating Worship and Community Spaces in Northwest Arkansas
Rogers, AR
A Grand Expansion for Cross Church Pinnacle Hills
Cross Church, a cornerstone of Northwest Arkansas’s religious community, recently expanded and enhanced its Pinnacle Hills campus in Rogers, Arkansas. This $8.8 million, 25,000-square-foot project aimed to better serve the church’s growing congregation by creating state-of-the-art spaces for worship, education, and fellowship.
The centerpiece of the expansion was a two-story precast concrete facility, adding worship space, classrooms, a banquet hall, and a kitchenette. Adjacent to the new facility, Crossland constructed a radiused concrete amphitheater designed for weddings, classes, and sermons. Additional features included a 4,000-square-foot interior remodel of the coffee bar area, complete with new finishes and operable glass partitions.
Key Features:
• Exterior: Precast concrete with neutral finishes, minimal landscaping, and a balcony and patio with ample lighting, HVLV fans, and upscale furnishings.
• Balcony Design: An elevated paver system ensures safety during winter and prevents water intrusion.
• Interior Highlights:
o A main corridor wall featuring a custom New Testament text wallcovering.
o A banquet hall with luxurious finishes rivaling upscale dining establishments.
o A remodeled coffee bar, offering a modern and welcoming space for conversation and community.
• Amphitheater: A radiused concrete amphitheater that enhances the campus’s outdoor functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Challenges and Solutions
• Tight Site on a Hillside: The location’s hillside position and nearby water feature required precise planning and execution to optimize space and safety.
• Active Church Operations: Construction activities were carefully scheduled around the church’s events, ensuring minimal disruption to services and programming.
• Budget-Conscious Adjustments: Many changes were implemented with no-to-low markup to maintain financial efficiency while meeting the church’s evolving needs.
A Space for Community and Worship
This project delivered a modernized campus that reflects Cross Church’s commitment to its congregation. From its grand worship spaces to its cozy coffee bar, every detail was crafted to foster a sense of community and create an inviting atmosphere. Crossland is honored to have been part of this meaningful expansion for such a valued institution.
