Clear Creek & Johnson Lift Stations

For Springdale Water Utilities, our team delivered the Clear Creek & Johnson Lift Station project as construction manager, self-performing select scope including small pipe, manholes, and fabricated pipe installation alongside four new pumps brought online for the system.

Design delays pushed the schedule beyond the original timeline, but the team stayed focused on efficient execution throughout. Value engineering ahead of construction trimmed costs where it made sense, and disciplined budget management carried through to the finish—the project used only 26% of its contingency budget and 66% of its allowance budget, translating directly into savings for the Owner.

On the self-perform side, the crew ran lean and resourceful. Tight site conditions called for some creative problem-solving with material handling, and the team leaned on CHC’s own crane and equipment to keep things moving without adding unnecessary cost.

Despite the extended schedule, no liquidated damages were imposed, and the project reached final completion with a fully functioning lift station supporting Springdale’s water system. The Owner is pleased with the final product, and the relationship remained strong from start to finish.
