We’re proud to share that Joshua Jacox, Senior Project Manager in our Oklahoma City Division, has been named to Oklahoma Magazine’s 40 Under 40 list for 2025 — a well-earned recognition for someone who’s spent his life building things that matter, both in construction and in service.
Joshua’s story is one of grit, service, and leadership.
He joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard in 2004 as a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist and has since served two deployments to Iraq. During his 2017-2018 tour, he helped construct vital facilities like a Theater Medical Clinic, office complex, and military dog kennel — all while leading over 75 soldiers and ensuring their safety, development, and morale. Today, he continues to serve as a Platoon Sergeant in the 2120th Engineer Company in Broken Arrow.
At Crossland, Joshua brings that same commitment to our teams and projects. He’s not just managing jobs — he’s mentoring the next generation. Whether he’s walking a site or guiding a young team member, he leads with purpose and patience, driven by a passion for seeing people grow and places transform.
“I love seeing the impact construction has on a community,” he says. “But even more than that, I love helping develop younger talent. That’s what we’re building, too — future leaders.”
That heart for mentorship — rooted deeply in his military experience — shows up every day on the job. And others have noticed. Joshua was named General Contractor Project Manager of the Year for 2023-2024 by the American Subcontractor Association of Oklahoma.
Congratulations, Joshua — your dedication, discipline, and drive make a difference here every day. We’re proud to have you on the team.
As one of his favorite quotes by Og Mandino reminds us:
“Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance the next time.”
Joshua lives that mindset — and it shows.
See who made the list here.
