Crossland Welcomes New Emerging Leaders Program Class of 2026

June 22, 2026 | 2 minute read

A large group of people wearing matching red shirts and jeans pose for a group photo in front of a building labeled “THE SHOP.” The group is arranged in rows on a paved area with green grass in the foreground.

Crossland is proud to welcome the newest class of participants in its Emerging Leaders Program, a professional development initiative designed to help employees build the skills, knowledge, and experience needed for long-term success within the company.

This year’s class includes 86 participants from across the organization, with 56 employees from Crossland Construction and 30 from Crossland Heavy Contractors. The program brings together field and office engineers from different Crossland office locations creating opportunities for collaboration, growth, and shared learning.

The Emerging Leaders Program was created to help employees grow beyond their current roles and gain a broader understanding of how Crossland operates. Participants receive training in key areas of the business, including leadership, communication, project management, field operations, safety, financial awareness, problem-solving, and company culture.

Through classroom instruction, mentorship, group discussion, and hands-on learning, participants are challenged to think like leaders, build stronger relationships, and understand how their decisions impact teams, clients, projects, and the company as a whole.

The program also supports one of Crossland’s strongest advantages: developing leaders from within. By investing in employees early and giving them access to leadership training, Crossland continues to build a strong pipeline for the future.

This year’s class represents the next generation of Crossland leaders. Their growth will not only impact their individual careers, but also the teams, projects, clients, and communities they serve.

“We’re excited to welcome this group into the Emerging Leaders Program,” said Sammy Swanwick, Crossland Learning and Development Director. “This program is about more than leadership training. It’s about helping our people understand the business, build confidence, strengthen relationships, and prepare for the opportunities ahead. When we invest in our people, we invest in the future of Crossland.”

As the newest class begins its journey, Crossland looks forward to seeing the impact these 86 participants will make across the organization in the years ahead. Their commitment to growth, learning, and leadership reflects the foundation Crossland was built on: strong people, strong teams, and a culture focused on building the future from within.
