Nearly 50 years after starting in a small garage in southeast Kansas, Crossland Construction Company has moved to #47 on ENR’s 2026 Top 400 Contractors list.
Crossland Construction Company is proud to announce we have been ranked #47 on Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2026 Top 400 Contractors list, moving up three spots from last year’s Top 50 milestone.
Last year, making the Top 50 was a strategic goal achieved two years ahead of schedule. This year, we kept moving.
Rankings are a reflection of the trust our clients place in us, the grit of our employees, and the long-term relationships that continue to drive our growth across the country.
More Than a Number
Every year, ENR ranks the nation’s largest contractors based on annual construction revenue. The list is one of the most recognized benchmarks in the construction industry and includes some of the largest builders in the world.
But behind every ranking are real people.
At Crossland, that means more than 2,000 employees showing up every day to solve problems, build safely, push schedules, support clients, and take ownership of the work. It means field crews working through tough conditions. Project teams finding solutions when projects get complicated. Shop teams, mechanics, accountants, safety professionals, interns, recruiters, engineers, and support staff all doing their part.
That is what moves a company forward.
Growth Without Losing Who We Are
Over the years, Crossland has expanded into new markets, grown new capabilities, invested heavily in equipment, training, prefab, technology, and self-perform operations, and continued building projects across the country.
But one thing has stayed the same:
We still believe in doing the work right and standing behind it.
That mindset started with Ivan “Red Iron” Crossland in a family garage nearly 50 years ago. It still drives the company today.
As the construction industry continues evolving, from advanced manufacturing and mission critical work to healthcare, education, infrastructure, hospitality, and industrial projects, Crossland continues investing in the people, systems, and capabilities needed to keep growing the right way.
Built by People
This recognition belongs to the employees, clients, design partners, subcontractors, vendors, and communities who continue to trust Crossland to help deliver important projects across the country.
We do not take that lightly.
To everyone who has been part of the journey so far, thank you.
And we are just getting started.
