The heart of Frisco’s entertainment district welcomed a new landmark when Rollertown Brewery opened its doors in 2025. This dynamic project transformed a vacant lot along two of the city’s busiest thoroughfares into a vibrant destination that seamlessly blends craft brewing, dining, and entertainment under one roof.

Crossland partnered with the Frisco Community Development Corporation to bring this ambitious vision to life through a comprehensive construction management approach. The 22,041 SF development encompasses two distinct yet connected pre-engineered metal buildings that create a cohesive entertainment experience. The core brewery facility houses state-of-the-art brewing equipment, while a two-level taproom featuring both indoor and outdoor spaces serves as the social hub of the operation.

The taproom’s architectural design strikes a perfect balance between industrial authenticity and modern comfort. Floor-to-ceiling glass storefronts span the entire east wall, flooding the interior with natural light while providing panoramic views of the outdoor event space. Inside, polished concrete floors, exposed ductwork, and black metal ceiling liners create an industrial aesthetic that celebrates the building’s honest construction. The visible brewing equipment and beer lines add an educational element, allowing guests to witness the craft brewing process firsthand.

One of the project’s most innovative features emerged during the final phase of construction. The original grass event lawn was replaced with approximately 20,000 SF of artificial turf in the project’s last 40 days – a decision that transformed the outdoor space into a year-round entertainment venue capable of hosting concerts, festivals, and community gatherings regardless of weather conditions.

The construction timeline presented unique challenges typical of urban infill projects. Early delays occurred when utility coordination revealed conflicts with long-dormant infrastructure, including power lines that hadn’t been active since 1975. The project team’s proactive approach to utility coordination and their strong relationships with local inspectors helped minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.

Working from concept to completion, Crossland provided full pre-construction services since the client began the project without existing drawings. This collaborative approach allowed the team to guide design decisions that balanced aesthetic goals with practical construction realities, particularly in managing overhead clearances and mechanical systems to achieve the desired open, industrial look.

The brewery’s location on Frisco’s main thoroughfares required careful coordination with municipal stakeholders and ongoing traffic management. Despite these complexities, the project achieved substantial completion on schedule and within the original budget parameters. The successful delivery culminated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local celebrities and investors, marking the official opening of what has become a cornerstone of Frisco’s entertainment district.
