FireLake Hotel
Crossland Crafts Tribal Nation’s Premier Hospitality Haven
Shawnee, OK
Crossland Construction recently completed the CPN Firelake Hotel, a sophisticated three-story hospitality destination located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. This 62,285 SF hotel features 126 well-appointed guest rooms, including eight ADA-accessible accommodations, serving the needs of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and its visitors.
Secured through a competitive hard bid process, the $19.5 million project broke ground in October 2023 and was successfully delivered on time and within budget by June 2025. The hotel’s striking exterior combines EIFS, stone, and brick masonry finishes, crowned with an elegant dark bronze standing seam metal roof. A welcoming canopy greets guests at the main entrance, providing both shelter and visual appeal.
Inside, guests experience refined interior finishes including painted textured drywall and tasteful wallpaper throughout most spaces. The main lobby makes a particularly strong impression with its distinctive white oak wood wall panels. Each floor offers convenient amenities including laundry facilities, electrical and IT rooms, and housekeeping areas, with two elevators providing seamless vertical transportation.
The Crossland team implemented several innovative techniques during construction, including a time-saving structural slab-on-grade design. By removing traditional grade beams and utilizing a twelve-inch-thick structural slab, the team achieved significant efficiency without compromising quality. Additionally, structural metal stud walls were prefabricated off-site, presenting both advantages and challenges that our experienced team successfully navigated.
Crossland went above and beyond for the client by helping the owner rent a boiler so their concrete batch plant could supply concrete during winter months. When the owner’s self-performed earthwork and demolition fell behind schedule due to heavy rainfall, Crossland supplemented with our own crews and equipment to maintain the project timeline.
The project was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 20, 2025, marking another successful partnership with the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
