Mid Missouri Bank Bolivar Branch Remodel: Modernization Delivered with Zero Downtime
Bolivar, MO
Crossland Construction brought new life to a community staple with the full renovation of Mid Missouri Bank’s Bolivar branch. This $1.9 million, 14,556-square-foot project transformed both the interior and exterior of the two-story facility—all while the bank remained open and fully operational.
The renovation began with the complete interior demolition of existing finishes, followed by a thoughtful reconfiguration of spaces to enhance functionality and customer service. Key upgrades included a new conference room and a secure Drive-Thru Teller area, designed to streamline operations and improve the banking experience for customers.
Exterior improvements were just as impactful. The original customer entrances were demolished and rebuilt, giving the building a fresh, modern look. Upgrades included new parapet walls, a sleek steel entrance canopy, ACM (aluminum composite material) panel cladding, a fully painted brick exterior, and updated gutters and downspouts.
Inside, the bank received a comprehensive makeover with new acoustical ceiling grids and tiles, carpet tile and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring, custom casework and interior doors, fresh paint, and upgraded lighting throughout. Every detail was selected to create a welcoming, efficient, and client-ready environment.
One of the project’s greatest challenges—and successes—was completing the renovation while the bank continued daily operations. Crossland carefully sequenced construction activities to ensure customer and employee safety, minimize dust and noise, and maintain access to essential banking areas. When exterior materials changed mid-project, the team responded quickly, collaborating with the client to find solutions that met both design goals and budget requirements.
“We phased first and second floor construction to allow for maximum productivity while mitigating dust, noise, and customer safety. The team’s flexibility and coordination helped us stay on schedule and on budget despite the active workspace and design revisions.”
