A Decade-Long Dream Becomes Reality Two Years Early

Nearly ten years ago, we wrote a letter to our future selves and committed to two bold goals:
- Reach $1 billion in revenue by 2020
- Break into ENR’s Top 50 Contractors by our 50th anniversary in 2027
We hit the first goal early. And now we’ve done it again, in true Crossland fashion. We have officially made it into the Top 50 on Engineering News-Record’s 2025 Top 400 Contractors list, ranked #50.
This milestone is more than just a number. It’s a testament to the thousands of decisions, both big and small, made every day by nearly 2,000 employees across the country. It’s a celebration of a vision that started in a garage in Columbus, Kansas, and continues to grow stronger every year.
Why the ENR Ranking Matters
Each year, Engineering News-Record ranks the top 400 general contractors in the United States based on annual revenue. Making the list is a milestone. Breaking into the Top 50 is a statement.
We first appeared on the ENR list in 2000, debuting at #400. That entry lit a fire. We started with family, faith, and a few tools—and we’ve grown into a national name. We’ve shown that with determination, grit, and by staying true to who we are, big dreams can become reality.
How We Got Here
This success didn’t happen by chance. It came from clear strategy, disciplined execution, and a team that never stopped pushing.
- We expanded our market presence
- We strengthened our divisions
- We focused on repeat clients and sector diversity
- We kept self-perform capabilities at our core
- We embraced our role as Community Builders and delivered more
We called it “Find. Focus. Conquer All.” It was more than a phrase-it was our way of working, leading, and winning.
Partnerships and Projects That Drove Us Forward
Along the way, we’ve had the opportunity to work on some incredible projects that pushed us to grow and made a lasting impact on the communities we serve. From nationally recognized public spaces like The Gathering Place in Tulsa to major healthcare facilities like the Veterans Hospital in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, and OSU, each project has helped shape who we are. We’ve delivered large-scale industrial work, including the simultaneous construction of over three million square feet of warehouse space, built side by side. Our presence in education continues to expand, with renovations, new construction, fine arts additions, and athletic upgrades for school districts across the U.S.
We’ve been fortunate to build long-standing relationships with clients like Pittsburg State University, J&M Farms, TAMKO, and Leggett & Platt, among so many others. These relationships have grown through hard work, follow-through, and showing up when it matters, time and time again.
As we’ve grown, so have our capabilities. We’re always looking for better ways to deliver more for our clients. In-house services like Crossland Prefab help us build smarter, faster, and with greater control. Every project, every partnership, and every lesson has helped shape the Crossland story—and we believe the best chapters are still ahead.
Our Strength Has Always Been Our People
This milestone belongs to every Crossland team member. From the field to the office, we are builders, problem-solvers, and doers. We earn respect by showing up, doing the work right, and letting our results speak for themselves.
We are now 2,000 strong and growing. We hire people who want to lead, who want to grow, and who want to build something bigger than themselves. With eleven office locations and more on the horizon, we’re just getting started.

Looking Ahead
This is not the finish line; it’s the launch pad for what comes next. As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2027, we’re thinking bigger than ever. We’re expanding into new markets, embracing new technology, and building partnerships that will carry us into the next chapter.
We’re proud. We’re grateful. And we’re just getting started.
Thank you to our employees, customers, and partners for being part of the journey.
