Crossland builds the largest spec warehouse in Kansas

You can’t help but take a second look at the number. Is that right?
A million square feet? Like a million as in … a million?!
For Inland Port VII in Edgerton, Kansas, that number is exactly right. So it’s no wonder that Inland Port, located in Logistics Park Kansas City, was the largest spec industrial building ever built in the state of Kansas.
At nearly $30 million, this project provides the KC area with a huge addition to its manufacturing and distribution capabilities. Inland Port VII is located near the entrance of BNSF Railway’s intermodal facility, which offers access to international and domestic container service along with heavy haul corridor access.
Crossland built the warehouse using structural tilt walls, structural steel with joist and deck, and a TPO roof system. The facility includes HVAC units for winter temps, a fire suppression system, fire alarm, and interior high bay lighting.
There is also concrete dock paving, an asphalt truck court, employee parking, and trailer parking concrete dolly pads.
Kansas Secretary of Commerce David Toland said: “This project will help solidify Logistics Park Kansas City as one of the premier destinations for distributors in the United States.
