Washington Family Hope Center Phase 2
Second-Floor Renovation: Supportive Housing for Families
Joplin, MO
In Phase 2 of this project, we transformed the second floor to support single mothers and their children, building on prior work in the same building. After demolishing old walls, ceilings, flooring, and fixtures, we created nine apartments—eight for residents and one for a monitor—with each unit featuring a combined living/bedroom space, private bath with shower, and individual heating and air. The floor also includes a large meeting room, a shared bathroom with two tubs, and a laundry room with six washers and dryers. We cleaned and repaired the exterior brick, providing a welcoming, functional, and dignified space for residents.
