Springdale Water Utilities Wastewater Treatment Facility Phase 1 Improvements

This $49 million project increased the facility’s capacity from 30.5 MGD to 40 MGD through major infrastructure upgrades, including two new 150-foot-diameter clarifiers, rehabilitation of four final clarifiers, a new RAS-WAS pump station, and extensive yard piping. Crossland Heavy Contractors’ self-performing teams poured nearly 5,000 cubic yards of concrete and installed 8,992 linear feet of pipe. Despite the project’s complexity and a peak workforce of 105 people onsite daily, we completed the wastewater treatment plant upgrade in just 26 months and maintained seamless facility operations throughout construction.
