Peloton Parking Garage & Utilities
Completing late 2021
Bentonville, AR
When a place is booming as fast as Bentonville, AR flexibility and adaptability are key to keeping things working.
Those two traits served us well on Project Peloton, which started for Crossland as a contract to relocate utilities for a parking garage that was about to go up.
Afterward, we were asked to build their parking garage. Our budget for the project went from $500,000 to more than $17 million.
Flexible and adaptable.
The five-story, 215,000 SF parking garage for the Peloton office building in Bentonville was cast-in-place by Crossland crews. All of the steel, including the perforated metal facade, was also installed by Crossland crews.
The project, which provided much-needed parking for Peloton employees, the public, and an adjacent church, presented unique challenges throughout.
Subterranean voids were found while placing the concrete piers, which caused delays and a series of logistical problems. Piers were cased, and schedules were rearranged to mitigate the impact of delays.
Crossland hired a company to grind and patch columns for uniform finishes, and we used Crossland-owned property to store materials that were trucked back and forth as needed.
Through hard work and communication, we made progress at every opportunity and delivered a finished product that will enhance the Bentonville community.
