When Mansfield ISD approached us to renovate Legacy High School’s aging baseball and softball facilities, we saw an opportunity to create something special. The district wanted to transform their tired, grass fields into a modern athletic complex that would serve their student-athletes for years to come.

Our team tackled this comprehensive renovation with precision and care. The project encompassed complete field upgrades for both baseball and softball facilities, including new synthetic turf installation, modern batting cage construction, and strategic bullpen placement. We refreshed dugout spaces with fresh paint and attention to detail that makes these spaces feel professional and welcoming.

One significant advantage of the Legacy project was its straightforward construction approach. Unlike similar renovations that require complex soil treatments, this site allowed us to focus on delivering quality results efficiently. Our team self-performed miscellaneous installations, including custom cubby installations and other specialty items that required our hands-on expertise.

The 5-month timeline presented unique challenges typical of outdoor construction projects. Weather conditions demanded constant attention and flexible scheduling, while the distributed nature of athletic field construction required careful coordination. With work scattered across multiple areas rather than contained within a single building footprint, our team maintained vigilant oversight of fencing locations and ensured all subcontractors understood their specific responsibilities.

What started as a smaller project than initially anticipated became something much more valuable. The transformation from run-down grass fields to a state-of-the-art athletic complex happened efficiently and within the budget. The success of this renovation, completed alongside the Lake Ridge High School project, has strengthened our relationship with Mansfield ISD and opened doors for future collaborations.
