La-Z-boy Neosho Campus
Neosho’s La-Z-Boy plant goes modern
Neosho, MO
La-Z-Boy Incorporated invested $32 million into a transformative expansion and modernization of its Neosho, Missouri manufacturing facility. Spanning nearly three years, this 90,000 SF project included a new 60,000 SF parts distribution center, a 20,000 SF corporate office, and a 10,000 SF onsite clinic. The facility remained fully operational throughout construction, requiring meticulous planning and execution.
The scope of work extended to nearly every aspect of the facility – Crossland self-performed demolition, earthwork, concrete, structural steel, carpentry (rough and finish), site utilities, and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) work.
High-end finishes were used throughout, with insulated metal panels (IMPs), ACM panels, and stone cladding on the exterior, and DIRTT partitions enhancing the interior office spaces. Despite operational constraints, the team remained agile, regularly adjusting plans to accommodate factory needs and ensure continuous production.
The project’s success was rooted in consistent collaboration, clear communication, and a strong partnership between the owner and construction team. The upgrades not only improve operational flow but also provide a more modern, employee-friendly work environment.
