Crossland Delivers Nearly 3 Million SF of Industrial Space at Intermodal Logistics Center in Fort Worth, TX
Fort Worth, TX
Standing in the heart of the Intermodal Logistics Center in Fort Worth, Texas, it’s impossible to miss the magnitude of what’s been built. Between October 2021 and November 2023, Crossland Construction completed a massive trio of tilt-wall industrial facilities—Buildings 5, 6, and 7—totaling over 3 million square feet for long-time partner NorthPoint Development.
This $118 million effort showcases the strength of collaboration, precision execution, and a relentless focus on delivering quality at scale.
Project Breakdown:
Building 5: 800,280 SF core and shell | $40M
Building 6: 1,008,416 SF core and shell | $27M
Building 7: 1,044,000 SF core and shell | $43M
Each building was tailored to meet specific tenant needs, incorporating features like custom electrical systems, high-end office suites, prefabricated canopies, and signature storefront glazing and ACM panels. The hallmark tilt-wall construction delivers both strength and visual appeal—meeting the expectations of modern industrial design.
While the scale was impressive, the road to completion wasn’t without challenges. The project team faced supply chain disruptions, historic weather events, lingering COVID-19 impacts, and design changes mid-construction. But through it all, Crossland teams remained nimble, solutions-focused, and committed to keeping the project on schedule and up to standard.
“When we started with the first million-square-footer, it was hard to imagine. Now we’ve completed three—within 300 yards of each other. That’s simply remarkable.”
— Derek Kloer, Division Manager, Crossland Fort Worth
“What sets them apart is the attention to detail. It really puts a shine on everything.”
— Alex Knorr, Development Manager, NorthPoint Development
“Crossland lives out the core values that align with NorthPoint—do the right thing, maintain financial discipline, act with urgency. That’s what makes the difference.”
— Derek Schoeneberg, Regional VP, NorthPoint Development
