Crash Champions Rebuilds in Joplin, MO: Resilience and Innovation After the Storm
Joplin, MO
With a name like Crash Champions, it takes more than a storm to keep them down. When a powerful 2023 storm caused severe damage to their Joplin, Missouri location, the team at Crash Champions was determined to come back stronger—and Crossland Construction was there to help make it happen.
Working side by side with Crash Champions, Crossland delivered a brand-new $1.5 million, 5,030-square-foot metal facility that not only restored operations but elevated the business’s presence in the community. The new building features striking ACM (aluminum composite material) panels, including custom-fabricated square panels on the front façade, designed to fit the building’s exact dimensions and give it a modern, distinctive look.
Inside, the shop and office areas were finished with durable metal wall panels and drywall, while the lobby and restrooms feature sleek tile finishes. Thanks to a storefront design, customers can now watch their cars being estimated from the comfort of the lobby—a thoughtful touch that enhances the customer experience.
Weather tried to throw more challenges our way, with rain and storms rolling through during construction. But this time, the project team was ready. By staying flexible and focused, Crossland kept the build on track, ensuring nothing would slow down Crash Champions’ comeback. In the process, we worked closely with the client on a requested change, ultimately saving them approximately $100,000.
Ongoing Partnership
The Joplin facility is one of two projects Crossland has completed for Crash Champions, including a recent remodel of their Springfield, Missouri location. This growing partnership is built on trust, open communication, and a shared commitment to quality—allowing us to deliver resilient, modern facilities that help Crash Champions continue serving their customers across multiple communities.
Helping Crash Champions rebuild after adversity and continue serving their customers in Joplin was more than just a project—it was a chance to be part of a story of resilience and renewal.
