Crossland Construction was hired to complete $4.3 million in subdrain and landscape repairs at Choctaw Durant Regional Medical Clinic in Durant, Oklahoma. This project involved extensive replacements and repairs to correct drainage system issues while maintaining the clinic’s daily operations.

Project Overview
This five-acre project included:
• Removal and replacement of landscaping, irrigation, paving, sidewalks, and decorative concrete.
• Installation of new stormwater utilities, underground foundation drains, and French drains.
• Electrical coordination to ensure safe and efficient drainage system upgrades.
• Earthwork and grading to improve site conditions and prevent future drainage issues.

Materials & Special Features:
This project incorporated Nyloplast storm drainage systems, known for their durability and efficiency in managing stormwater. These high-quality drainage solutions ensure long-term performance and help prevent future water management issues. Additionally, decorative Bomanite concrete accent branding was integrated into the flatwork, adding a visually appealing and customized touch to the facility’s exterior.

Challenges & Solutions
This project came with a few challenges, including fixing drainage issues from a previous contractor’s work and dealing with unmarked underground geothermal lines. To avoid disruptions, Crossland carefully coordinated with the owner to adjust plans and keep everything running smoothly. Since the clinic stayed open, we worked in phases to complete the job safely and efficiently. Thanks to strategic planning and teamwork, we delivered a durable drainage system while keeping the facility fully operational.Operational Facility: The clinic remained fully functional throughout construction, requiring a phased work schedule to minimize disruptions and maintain a clean and safe site.
