Butterfield Coach Lift Station Upgrades
Springdale, AR
The City of Springdale needed to upgrade their Butterfield Coach Lift Station to accommodate the needs of their growing community. This hard bid project consisted of the construction of a new 17.5′ x 21′ x 32′ deep wetwell with three 54-hp submersible pumps and a new 13′ x 22′ pipe gallery, installation of all piping and instrumentation, modifications to the existing wetwell, landscaping, repairs to paving and sidewalks, and the installation of 12″ forcemain, 24″ gravity main, concrete junction box, new electrical, a communications tower, natural gas generator, and monorail trolley hoist. Our construction team performed a 40′ deep excavation for the new wet well and protected it with a beam and plate shoring system. We suggested a value engineering idea in the pipe gallery to change Ductile Iron Pipe to Stainless Steel Piping to eliminate pipe painting from the scope of work, saving the City around $150,000, and helping us to complete the project under budget.
