Blackbob Pump Station Generator Replacement
Improving the backup power system to continue providing water residents can depend on
The City of Olathe, KS, hired Crossland Heavy to replace its Blackbob Pump Station’s backup generator and to complete various other necessary updates to keep the pump station safe and operational. Crossland Heavy installed a 550kW CAT Generator, fuel tank, and automatic transfer switch to replace their pump station’s outdated backup power system as well as new HVAC controls, new doors and a ladder for safer access, an extension of the existing metal platform, and OSHA-compliant safety railing on the roof. The City can now rest assured that their pumps will continue to run in the event of a power loss, continually providing their residents with uninterrupted access to water.
