Ace Hardware TI
Old supermarket building given new life in Derby
Derby, KS
The City of Derby needed a hardware store on the east side of town.
That side of town included an old Dillon’s store that had sat empty for quite some time.
You probably see where this is going.
Crossland had the privilege of remodeling the empty building into a shiny new Ace Hardware store. The team worked closely with the City of Derby on this $1 million project, making sure the building was brought back to life and was up to code.
Exterior features include an entry canopy, EFIS (Exterior Insulated Finishing Systems) canopy with faux trex planks made from EFIS. The exterior garden center features an iron fence surround.
The interior features a polished concrete floor that was given new life during this project.
As was the case on many projects in 2020 and 2021, the Covid pandemic brought on a variety of challenges, particularly manpower. Crossland’s team worked long hours and weekends to overcome the labor shortages and completed the project on time.
