AB Jewell Clarifier No. 3 Improvements
Tulsa, OK
AB Jewell is the City of Tulsa’s main water treatment plant, supplying 120 million gallons of water per day to the community. Over the past 5 years, the City has worked with Crossland Heavy Contractors to complete two clarifier improvements projects to add efficiency to their facility.
Clarifier technology has advanced since the clarifiers were originally built—from standard clarifier mechanisms to plate settlers. This water treatment plant project was their third and final phase of clarifier rehabilitation projects, transforming the final remaining round sweeping arm clarifier into an inclined plate settler, which improved their clarifier efficiency and subsequently the efficiency of the entire facility.
