Where Mountain Views Meet Meaningful Living

Centennial, CO

When Headwaters Group envisioned a new senior living community in Centennial, Colorado, they knew they needed more than just another residential building. They wanted to create a place where seniors could thrive, connect, and enjoy the stunning mountain views that make Colorado special. That’s where our partnership began on this remarkable 203,000 SF project.

The four-story facility represents a significant investment in Centennial’s growing community. Over 23 months, our team worked closely with Santulan Architecture to bring this vision to life, creating spaces that truly serve the residents who call it home.

What sets this project apart isn’t just its size or cost – it’s the attention to detail that makes daily life better for residents. The amenity areas feature a professional-grade kitchen where residents can gather, cook, and share meals together. A dedicated fitness center and movement room support active lifestyles, while an exterior pool offers year-round recreation opportunities. The mountain views from the west side of the building provide a daily reminder of Colorado’s natural beauty.

One of the most striking architectural features is the wooden bridge that connects two sides of the building. Built with natural wood columns and beams, this bridge serves as both a functional connector and a welcoming focal point that visitors notice immediately. The exterior combines classic brick veneer with modern stucco finishes, creating a look that fits naturally into Centennial’s established neighborhoods.

Inside, residents enjoy higher-end finishes throughout their units, including granite countertops and quality appliances that make independent living both comfortable and dignified. The clubhouse areas feature carefully selected paint colors, wood stair sections with custom handrails, and multiple seating areas that encourage social interaction.

We focused heavily on energy efficiency throughout the design and construction process. Proper insulation with optimized R-values keeps heating and cooling costs manageable, while energy-efficient electrical and mechanical systems reduce the building’s environmental footprint – important considerations for a facility that operates around the clock.

That dedication paid off during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, where Centennial’s mayor joined community members to celebrate the facility’s opening. But the real reward came from seeing the first residents settle into their new homes and begin using the amenities we’d worked so hard to perfect.
