Expanding Learning Opportunities: Wilder Elementary Classroom Addition in Springfield, MO
Springfield, MO
Crossland partnered with Springfield Public Schools to expand the Wilder Elementary campus with a new 4,500-square-foot classroom addition. The project added four modern learning spaces, supporting continued enrollment growth and creating more room for students to learn and thrive.
Despite an aggressive timeline and weather-related delays, Crossland completed the project ahead of schedule. Built under a hard bid contract, the team self-performed the concrete and finish carpentry work, while collaborating closely with the district to minimize disruptions to daily school operations.
Simple, Smart, and Built to Last
The addition blends seamlessly with the existing campus through a brick exterior and modern storefront-style entry. Inside, painted concrete masonry unit (CMU) walls and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring provide a clean, durable, and low-maintenance learning environment. Crossland’s attention to quality and detail ensured that the classrooms were ready for students ahead of the scheduled move-in.
A Milestone Project for the Team
This project marked an important milestone for one of Crossland’s emerging project leaders. Successfully delivering the classroom addition on time and within budget helped reinforce Crossland’s strong relationship with Springfield Public Schools while showcasing the next generation of leadership in action.
