Keytronics Tenant Infill
Keytronics Manufacturing Technology Expansion
Springdale, AR
When Keytronics needed to enhance their manufacturing capabilities in Springdale, they turned to Crossland to create a sophisticated two-story office space within their existing facility and prepare for future production growth. The $7.4 million project transformed 298,000 SF of space to support Keytronics’ advanced Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines used in computer chip production.
The project’s centerpiece was a carefully engineered mezzanine structure within the existing warehouse that now houses modern office space complete with carpet, tile, drywall, and fresh paint throughout. Beyond the office build-out, our team coordinated complex MEP infrastructure throughout the manufacturing plant, creating the backbone for Keytronics’ future production expansion.
Coordination proved critical as our team navigated the challenges of implementing new systems while respecting the owner’s concurrent scope of work within the same facility. Through meticulous planning and communication, the construction process moved forward efficiently without disrupting existing operations.
Our superintendent’s exceptional attention to detail included reinforcing the mezzanine structure beyond engineer specifications based on professional intuition – foresight that proved valuable when the structure experienced expected deflection during construction. This proactive approach ensured both safety and structural integrity for the finished office space.
The project culminated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that attracted significant community attention, including an appearance by Governor Sanders. Watching the owner’s first test run on their new SMT line after project completion provided the most rewarding moment for our construction team.
Completed over a nine-month timeline from October 2024 through June 2025, the Keytronics TI project showcases Crossland’s ability to deliver specialized manufacturing infrastructure through attentive planning and execution.
