Social Tap
Social Tap opens first spot in Wichita
Wichita, KS
Social Tap Drinkery opened its first location near Wichita State University during the summer of 2021, offering guests a welcoming place to reconnect after the COVID-19 pandemic. With over 50 beers on tap from around the world, the 5,600 SF bar and eatery aimed to foster social connection in a modern, laid-back setting.
Crossland completed a tenant infill valued at nearly $800,000 inside a pre-built shell facility on campus. The project featured sleek interior finishes, including kitchen-style cabinetry designed to reflect the feel of a modern test kitchen. Social Tap also provided and installed their own branded exterior signage to align with their aesthetic.
The build took place at the height of COVID-related supply chain challenges. HVAC system delays threatened the targeted opening date, along with the timeline for the certificate of occupancy. Through proactive coordination and scheduling, the team was able to complete installation and pass inspections in time for the grand opening.
