Adaptive Transformation: Repurposing Retail Space for Businesses in Wichita

Wichita, KS

“E pluribus unum” – Out of one, many.

It’s a common motto for the United States and the perfect phrase to describe the Derby Retail project in Wichita, Kansas.

This transformative $1.5 million project converted a Dillon’s grocery store into a sprawling multi-tenant retail space spanning over 50,000 square feet.

Crossland’s work on this project included constructing the new storefronts and painting the spaces to set the stage for new tenants such as Planet Fitness, Mattress Hub, and Ace Hardware, among others.

Location is a significant asset for this retail space, with proximity to multiple banks, medical offices, restaurants, and Derby High School, creating a vibrant and bustling commercial hub.

Crossland was thrilled to help provide a quality new home for so many businesses in the Wichita area.

Project Facts

Cost: $1,000,000
