Hotel built to honor tribal art and history

Devol, OK

The emphasis for the Comanche Red River Hotel project was Tribal art and history. Therefore, a great deal of careful planning went into the design. Each of the five new guest suites were dedicated to a past Comanche Tribe member; the displayed artwork is reflective of the suite’s namesake. The building’s exterior features an EIFS and stone finish, with architectural fins and accents that enhance the stucture’s appearance. A 25 foot skylight was also installed. The interior boasts custom tile work; rich textures and finishes reflect the Native American Culture. Several murals were painted by local artists, creating a visual focal point as guests transition from the hotel to the casino area.
