Brief Summary

Crossland Heavy was awarded the $21M contract for the new drinking water treatment plant in Fredonia, Kansas. The plant will be a 6.0 million gallons-per-day surface water treatment process, split into two parallel 3.0 million gallons-per-day trains. The preliminary project scope included repurposing of the old plant for intake, coagulation, flocculation and softening systems, gravity filtration, water storage, and pumping systems. The Fredonia plant has an estimated completion date of May 2019. Crossland Heavy partnered with Midwest Engineering Group to complete value analysis on this project to lower the budget by about $2.5 Million and to serve the residents of the local counties in Kansas by making well-designed and constructed improvements for this water treatment plant.
