OSU Track and Field

Athletic/Sporting Facilities

Stillwater, Oklahoma

Brief Summary

The Oklahoma State University Track and Field facility in Stillwater, Oklahoma brings together thousands of athletes and spectators annually.  Covering nearly 25 acres, the $6.8 million track complex includes a management pavilion, a main locker room building, a state-of-the-art synthetic running track, a natural grass playing field, and a water retention pond.

Careful pre-construction planning with the Owner and architect was critical.  Once the project got underway, daily building and track inspections were made to ensure the quality on which Crossland prides itself.  Every aspect was pre-approved by the architect and Owners prior to installation.  Always a team effort, this facility is something of which we can all be proud.

Crossland was unwavering in their assurance that the work could be performed within the provided time frame.  John Priest, CCC’s President and our project liaison, frequently reminded us that it never rains on a Crossland job.  Indeed, they scheduled crews around the weather by accelerating work during both nights and weekends ahead of expected adverse weather events.  Their management of the work is allowing the project to proceed on schedule.
