Crossland was selected to construct a metal canopy over this nationwide transportation company’s existing repair center.
The original Design/Build project schedule and contract length was 102 calendar days, and the railroad only guaranteed 6 hours of allowable work time each day. In order to maximize our productivity, Crossland steel teams assembled the majority of the roof structure on the ground. When the work areas were free of train traffic, they were able to erect large portions of the building in a short period of time.
Our incredible project superintendent Tim Carson and steel superintendent Jake Doss completed the 16,800 square foot Pre-Engineered Metal Building Canopy ahead of schedule. By maintaining daily communication with the Kansas City Southern team, the project was completed in just 81 days.
