Brief Summary

The Joe M. Steele Water Treatment Plant was originally built in 1963 and had been upgraded over the years to a capacity of 10 million gallons per day. Upgrades made by Crossland Heavy Contractors upped the production to 40 million gallons per day. Numerous improvements were made, including construction of a flocculation sedimentation basin, backwash basin, wastewater equalization basin, chemical feed building, and chemical tank farm, as well as renovations of the existing operations building.
