Six phases to a successful project

Crossland Construction built the $27 million contract for the Rental Car Ready Return facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This project included 250,000 square feet of new post tension concrete for the parking deck and over 800 parking spaces, five elevators, seven elevated concrete ramps, and tensile membrane canopies, the latter which was selected by the Owner and shipped from China. The return facility was an addition to an existing parking structure, and was completed in six phases while the existing garage remained occupied. To that end, the original structure was also modified to accommodate the new structure. Exposed concrete was finished to a high architectural standard. Challenges included the redirection of public parking on multiple occasions during construction. Crossland crews juggled several different phases in various locations occurring simultaneously. However, despite the scope of work, the project was completed on time and under budget.
